Tonight’s show will be a Coffee House benefit featuring three acts performing songs with the theme “Naughty or Nice”: songs about good people and not-so-good people, and, well, some really rotten people. Our performers will be Jonnie Guernsey with Jon Pagenkopf, Steve Girman with Scott Dunnington, and John Granzow with Gary Kitchin. They promise to make us all feel relatively good about ourselves while supporting a good cause - the Friedens Food Pantry.
Jonnie Guernsey and Jon Pagenkopf have collaborated on music for many years. These theme shows have inspired us to seek out music we might never have found.
Steve Girman has been presenting his engaging ukulele performances for children around Wisconsin for decades. He has more recently crossed over into "music for grown-ups." Scott Dunnington has been strumming guitars for about 60 years. For the past 6 years, has run the Lake Country Ukulele Club, playing the bass and arranging songs for ukulele. Their repertoire represents over a century of familiar favorites.
John Granzow and Gary Kitchin play for fun - their own and anyone who’s listening. Both grandpas, they look forward to teaching the next generation all about the infinite possibilities of I, IV, V.
