The Big Pink Project

  • The Coffee House 2717 East Hampshire Street Milwaukee, WI, 53211 United States (map)

Music from Big Pink is the debut studio album by the Band. Released in 1968, it employs a distinctive blend of country, rock, folk, classical, R&B, blues, and soul, and includes numbers by the Band and Bob Dylan. The music was composed partly in “Big Pink”, a house shared by band members.

This season-ending show will present renditions of all 11 songs from the album, performed by JP Spencer, Eccentric Acoustic, Paul & Andy, John Granzow & Gary Kitchin, Robb Hoffman, and Ives Iverson. Come to listen and sing along to some fascinating classic tunes.
